Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to join a SEND school in North Liverpool. This is a full-time, long-term role where you will be supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who require significant support, including personal care.
About the Role: As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children with ASD, providing both educational and personal support. You will play a vital role in helping students with their academic progress, social skills development, and personal care needs. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with ASD.
Assist with personal care routines, including toileting, dressing, and feeding, where necessary.
Help students engage in classroom activities, supporting their learning and development.
Work collaboratively with the class teacher, other teaching assistants, and specialists to create a supportive environment.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.What We're Looking For:
