What an opportunity this is!
Sales Director, Northern FMCG scaling brand, that is set to take centre stage in the category they operate.
This is not a small, fluffy, challenger brand but a scale up medium sized business who mean business and have grit, determination and embarking on their next phase of growth which means we’re looking to appoint a Sales Director to set the strategy to double the business in the next couple of years.
Now then, yes, this is exciting, but no, this won’t be for everyone.
You need to have entrepreneurial flair and a ‘JFDI’ attitude. This is a business which is still founder run and doubled in size every year over the last 4 years and now have a significant turnover, manufacturing capability and large team having recently brought in a very interesting board member who is working very closely with the team on the next phase of growth. (I’ll tell you more when we speak!)
You need to have a certain mindset and approach here and bring process and strategy to the table along with action and delivery which you will lead yourself along with your team of 5 which is also set to grow once you join.
You’ll resonate with the mindset of entrepreneurs; you’re action orientated, directive, have ideas and probably want to run before you can walk sometimes. You no doubt have ruffled a few feathers in the past and once you get hold of something, you want to run with it and ensure you deliver, come hell or high water.
Founders can be impatient and want to see results fast. Now this business has all the tools and capability for someone to deliver, they just need to appoint someone with the right attitude.

This person will:
* Set the sales strategy over the next 3-5 years
* Develop and grow the existing team to ensure budget delivery
* Work closely with the supply chain and factory to understand commercial capability and risk
* Own the sales number and ensure delivery, growing yourself as the business expands.
I’m pretty sure you have a grasp of the character we’re looking for but what about skill set?

* Multi-channel expertise including Grocery Retail
* Scaled growth in a fast paced business/ category
* Strength in commercial acumen and agility
