Senior Care Assistant - Nights (Maternity Cover)

Pay: £12.60 - £13.00 per hour

Job Description:
We are actively recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant - Nights to cover maternity leave for 4 nights per week (between 9pm and 8am). You will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the effective management of our care home team and in ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure residents receive exceptional care and support in line with individualised, person-centred care plans.
* Assess the care needs of residents and implement appropriate care plans in consultation with residents, their families, and the care team.
* Create and update person-centred care plans and risk assessments to reflect changes in needs.
* Build strong relationships with residents and their families, review daily care notes, and promote respect, dignity, and choice.
* Respond promptly to reports from Care Support Workers regarding changes in residents’ conditions and act effectively.
* Liaise with professionals and organisations to ensure residents receive appropriate support, including medication monitoring and ordering.
* Support the care team by providing leadership and ensuring care practices align with policies and safety regulations.
* Perform additional duties as required to meet the needs of residents and the care home.
Skills and Experience:
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Minimum of two years of experience in health and social care, with at least one year in a care home.
* Essential: Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

* A full enhanced DBS check (provided at no cost to you).
