We are looking to recruit a bright and creative Events Support Officer to help us tell these stories through our popular events programme. About the role: We’re looking for a talented Event Support Officer to join our team. You should be passionate about delivering outstanding visitor experiences, and as Events Support Officer will work across our public events programme, including online and onsite delivery of our popular What’s On programme. You will be highly organised and a great team player who can coordinate the delivery of events, building positive relationships with internal and external specialists to support the central coordination of each event. Reporting to the Events Manager and working closely with colleagues across The National Archives, you will support the creation and delivery of consistently high quality event experiences to our audiences. This role includes direct support of online and onsite events and activities, which will require frequent but irregular working outside normal office hours (evenings and weekends). Role and Responsibilities To assist with the delivery of the public events programme as assigned by the Events Manager to a high standard for our audiences. To work closely with internal specialists and external speakers to operationally organise and help deliver each event to the highest standard whilst meeting the event objectives including event setup, assisting speakers. Liaise with speakers and participants on all aspects of the planning and logistics of the events for the day including run-throughs, technical support, schedules, AV requirements, travel and accommodation. Maintain the events calendar, including setting up online events in Microsoft Teams, all scheduling tools and department records including the departmental budget spreadsheet for the Events and Exhibitions team. Working with the Events and Marketing teams to set up and check all online events and associated listings using Eventbrite. To support the Event Team to gather, sort and check event information in line with publishing deadlines. To actively support the co-ordination of onsite and online events and front-of-house delivery with internal partners, in particular Marketing, CEE, Estates and IT Services, to ensure that events run smoothly on the day. Support the Events team in the production of digital content including editing audio and visual content using Premiere Pro. Take responsibility for the logistical arrangements for onsite filming: liaising with staff, room bookings, staffing, run sheets and schedules.
