Key Responsibilities:
• Install, service, and maintain a wide range of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
• Conduct regular testing and inspection of systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards. • Diagnose and repair faults in fire and security systems.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with industry regulations. • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
• Participate in an on-call Rota for emergency callouts
Essential Criteria:
• Relevant technical qualifications in fire and security systems or electrical engineering.
• Experience with a wide range of fire and security system brands and models.
• Proven experience in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire and security systems.
• Strong understanding of current industry standards and regulations. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to various client sites.
• Good communication skills and professionalism in dealing with clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to participate in out-of-hours emergency callouts.
• Prior experience working on the front line directly with customers.
Desirable Criteria:
• Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., FIA, ECS).
• Additional certifications or training in fire and security systems.
• Familiarity with network systems and IP-based security solutions.
• Role model for junior engineers and apprentices.
• Project lead and mentoring experience.
