A friendly and welcoming school on the outskirts of South Bristol near Chew Magna is looking for a 1:1 teaching assistant to join them in the new year. The role is to support a child with an autism diagnosis who is currently in Reception from Wednesday - Friday until the end of the academic year (opportunity for this to become pernament). This child in non verbal so will need thorough support in helping with their communication through Makaton and other schemes. The successful candidate will have: Have previous experience of working with children, Previous experience of working as a teaching assistant is desirable but not essential, Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with pupils within the school and enhance their learning. Must have experience of working with pupils and will have had experience of working within the education sector and with multi-agencies. Will be proactive and eager to carry out responsibilities.
