The Governors of Alfreton Nursery School wish to appoint a highly motivated individual to take up the post of Nursery Nurse in our school from September 2025.
Our Ofsted rating has been outstanding for over 25 years and we pride ourselves on looking after all our staff, children, and families. Nursery Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity for a caring, professional, and flexible individual.
Key responsibilities:
* Providing high-quality care for all children at Alfreton Nursery School.
* Liaising with parents and external professionals on a regular basis.
* Carrying out observations and assessments (electronically).
* Supporting children with SEND.
* Planning stimulating and challenging activities for children, including children with SEND.
Requirements:
* NVQ level 3 in childcare.
* Knowledge of Safeguarding.
* Knowledge of the EYFS, specifically 2 – 5 curricula.
* Have a desire and enthusiasm to support pupils with SEND achieve their full potential.
* Can deal with behaviours that challenge.
* Are enthusiastic, confident, and able to show initiative.
* Are effective communicators with children, students, staff, and parents.
* Friendly, fun, flexible, and caring.
* Experience of working with children and SEND.
* Are friendly with a good sense of humour.
* Possess good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Can work as part of a team and effectively alone.
* Are calm and patient.
