We are seeking a Finance Assistant in Accounts Payable, which will contribute to the maintenance of the College’s creditor ledger and facilitate timely payment of the College’s suppliers. The Finance Department is an exceptional place to work, with staff working collaboratively to ensure the very best outcomes for our students. The area also offers an excellent opportunity to improve your IT skills and expose you to computerized financial accounting methodologies in a small flexible team environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Check all purchase ledger documentation are correctly authorised, coded, and entered onto the College’s computerised finance system.
2. Liaise with suppliers (externally) and departments (internally) to clarify discrepancies and payment queries.
3. Assist with the payment of suppliers within the College terms of payment by BACS as applicable.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Education: GSCE English and Maths Grade 4 or above or Level 2 is essential.
2. Some knowledge of a computerised finance system coupled with the experience of using Excel and Word.
3. Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.
