Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK. As a Logistics Controller at Taiko Foods, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all logistical processes to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods. You will work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, inventory management, and overall logistical performance. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, inventory, and warehouse management. Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of products. Oversee stock levels and ensure accurate inventory control, working to prevent stock-outs or overstocking issues. Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues or delays promptly. Liaise with couriers and transport companies to ensure cost-effective and efficient transportation solutions. Maintain and update logistical records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. Assist in the preparation of logistics reports and performance metrics for management. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within logistics operations. Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth stock movements and order fulfilment. Requirements: Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the food industry. Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office applications. A good understanding of UK transport regulations and health and safety standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
