About the role:
The Clinical Physiology team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiac Physiologist / Echocardiographer to join our team in Portsmouth. This is an ongoing, full-time position offering competitive pay.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform ECGs : Conduct electrocardiograms to monitor heart activity.
2. Fit Ambulatory ECG, Event, and BP Monitors : Install and manage ambulatory ECGs, event monitors, and blood pressure monitors.
3. Support Cardiac Physiologists : Assist cardiac physiologists in their daily clinical tasks.
4. Clerical and Office Duties : Perform various administrative and office-related tasks.
The Cardiology Department is based in the Croydon, which includes a Cardiac Catheter Suite and Daycare Unit. It offers a comprehensive range of non-invasive procedures, such as:
5. ECGs : Electrocardiograms to monitor heart activity.
6. Ambulatory Monitoring : Includes ECG, event, and blood pressure monitoring.
7. Technician-Led Exercise Tests : Conduct exercise tests led by technicians.
8. Adult Transoesophageal Echocardiography : Specialized echocardiography for adults.
9. Adult and Paediatric Transthoracic Echocardiography : Includes contrast, bubble studies, and stress echocardiography.
10. Specialist Clinics : Heart Failure, Valve, and Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics.
Qualifications and Experience:
11. Essential: Clinical ECG / ABPM experience
12. Desirable: Thorough understanding of electrocardiography recording: Knowledge of both the theory and practical aspects.Proficient in ECG interpretation: Ability to accurately interpret electrocardiograms.Comprehensive knowledge of Ambulatory ECG and BP recording and analysis: Familiarity with both the theoretical and practical components.
