A little more about your role…
The Rating team at WSP GL Hearn is a highly skilled and specialised group dedicated to providing exceptional rating and valuation services to clients in the commercial real estate sector. With an in-depth understanding of the complex rating landscape, our team combines extensive industry knowledge with strategic insights to deliver accurate and insightful assessments.
In this role you will inspect and measure properties to ensure accuracy of the data held by the Valuation Office Agency, a division of HMRC.
You will be involved in:
* Surveying various property types throughout England and Wales.
* Inspecting, measuring and checking factual details for each property, and providing key information which will be used for a “Check” submission to the Valuation Office Agency.
* Completing proformas of measurements and providing photographs and drawings of the properties.
* Writing up referencing notes.
* Recording, updating and maintaining the team’s IT systems with details of surveys.
You will work within the Business Rates Team, but will require independent working out on site and in our network of offices. Work may be office-based or home-based subject to appropriate Health & Safety audits as required.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
You are a proficient property referencer with experience of inspection and measurement, who can demonstrate a high level of organisation and collaboration with senior staff, and who demonstrates the desire to constantly improve business data and support others to achieve that goal.
