Job Title: Supply Teacher Location: Southampton Salary: £93-£140 per day (Depending on experience) Start: After Easter 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Part-time can be arranged for the right candidate) GSL Education are looking for a versatile and committed Supply Teacher in Southampton to step into classrooms and ensure continuity in learning. This role offers flexibility while contributing to the school community and supporting students’ learning. Whether you are looking for short-term cover or longer-term placements, we have roles to suit your availability and expertise. Supply Teacher Responsibilities: Cover lessons for absent teachers across different subject areas and year groups. Ensure students remain on task and complete the work set by the regular class teacher. Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment. Support students with varying needs and abilities, ensuring inclusivity in lesson delivery. Report on students’ progress and behaviour to senior staff as required. Adapt to different subject areas and year groups to ensure seamless class coverage. Supply Teacher Requirements : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience (or strong subject knowledge for unqualified teachers). Previous experience working in a classroom setting, ideally in a secondary school. Ability to engage and manage students positively and effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different teaching environments. Flexibility and adaptability to teach across different subjects and age groups. Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
