Areas of expertise include Engine Overhaul, final Drive Overhaul and locomotive refurbishment.Position Summary:Stripping Rafts / building transmissions within the Rail industry.You will be working in teams to breakdown mechanical systems on to locomotive rafts and rebuild. Roles can include:* Engine strip down or strip down of components and rebuild.* Fitting newly re-furbished engines back onto the rafts including all components that service that service and help the running of the engine, radiators, pumps, tanks, pipe work, electrical looms and more.* To have a good understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components.* To be able to install / repair hydraulic systems.* Previous engine knowledge would be advantageous.* To overhaul of raft components.* To be able to understand schematic drawings.* To undertake training as and when required.* To work within a realistic timeframe.* To mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable.* To ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner.Person Profile/Experience:* A strong mechanical background is required.* People from HGV / large engine's / rolling stock assembly backgrounds i...
