We are seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer to join our global IT team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure and security systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network administration, architecture, and security protocols, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize network performance in a multi-cloud environment.
Additionally, you will collaborate with our workforce services team to support our international office locations, providing onsite engagement and fostering strong partnerships. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, deploy, and manage robust network systems, addressing technical inquiries, offering expert support, and working closely with customers to design solutions and resolve issues.
2. Act as a liaison between the workforce service team and users, ensuring effective communication and resolution of network issues, with a focus on supporting international Verisk offices.
3. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
4. Implement and oversee security measures, including access authentication.
5. Conduct regular security policy audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
6. Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions.
7. Automate network tasks and assess their effectiveness.
8. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
9. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Qualifications
Requirements:
1. Enhance user experience within global office deployments and remote access including Zscaler SSE, Aruba Edge connect, ensuring a smooth and secure connection between users, applications, and devices.
2. Possess expert knowledge of the Aruba Cloud portal, Aruba IAP, Aruba SD-WAN gateways and vGWs, ClearPass solution, DIA circuits, and Aruba controller-based wireless infrastructure.
3. Expert knowledge of ZTNA, Zscaler Secure Access in Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA).
4. 5+ years proven experience managing enterprise-scale firewall environments.
5. 5+ years in network troubleshooting, particularly in high-performance, low-latency environments including wireless access points, Zscaler, Cisco routers & switches, and firewalls.
6. Minimal certification required in the following: Aruba Certified, Cisco CCNA, ZCCA-PA, and ZCCA-IA.
7. In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and security protocols.
8. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Splunk).
9. Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
10. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
11. Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to mentor others.
12. Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related subject.
13. May require up to 50% domestic and international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with cloud networking and security (e.g., AWS or Azure).
2. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) or other languages that can support infrastructure and platform automation.
3. Knowledge of access control models and network security.
