Location: Hybrid - 2 days in London and 3 days working from home
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding issues across the organisation, ensuring that all staff and volunteers are equipped to handle safeguarding concerns effectively. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference while working in a varied, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities within the Safeguarding Manager role:
* Support the Head of Quality & Safeguarding in enhancing Mind's safeguarding approach and processes
* Oversee the on-call safeguarding helpdesk, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and accurately
* Deliver training and awareness programmes for staff across all levels
* Maintain robust case management records and quality assurance standards
* Develop and nurture collaborative relationships with colleagues across all teams, providing expert safeguarding advice
* Lead safeguarding initiatives for specific projects, developing frameworks, tools, and training
* Review and audit safeguarding procedures, driving continuous improvement
* Produce high-quality reports to highlight trends and inform future safeguarding strategies
* Manage serious incidents in partnership with the Head of Safeguarding
For this role you will need an Enhanced DBS Childrens & Adults checked which is on the update service.
