About Us
We are a reputable construction company specialising in house extensions, new builds, and school construction. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee the groundwork and bricklaying operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Role Summary
The Site Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all site activities related to groundwork and bricklaying. This individual will lead a team of builders, ensuring health and safety compliance, and driving efficiency and productivity on-site. Strong leadership and communication skills, as well as significant experience in construction, particularly groundwork and bricklaying, are essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead, supervise, and manage the groundwork and bricklaying teams on-site.
2. Coordinate daily site operations and ensure that all work is completed on schedule.
3. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as building codes and standards.
4. Collaborate with the company directors and other site managers to plan, monitor, and control work progress.
5. Provide hands-on support when necessary, particularly during critical groundwork and bricklaying phases.
6. Manage materials, tools, and equipment efficiently to avoid delays.
7. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and identify potential issues early.
8. Communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
1. Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction, particularly in groundwork and bricklaying.
2. Previous experience in a leadership or management role within the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
4. Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
6. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
7. Proficiency in construction project management software (desirable but not essential).
