We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our successful and vibrant SEND department. The department is committed to supporting a wide range of needs to enable students to achieve and be successful at school. The successful TA will work with more complex students within the SEND hub and support a wider range of needs in mainstream lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4. They will have good interpersonal skills and the confidence and ability to relate well with students. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work independently and to remain calm under pressure. The main responsibilities for the job will include: Supporting students’ learning within the classroom. Delivering prescribed interventions to students under the direction of the SENCO or Assistant SENCO. Liaising with class teachers as appropriate. Contributing towards meeting the SEN statutory requirement for our students.
