Role Purpose: As our Lead Occupational Health Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a top-tier Occupational Health Service. You'll work autonomously, managing your own workload while supervising and supporting other clinical staff, including remote OH Advisors and Technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Supervise and support a dedicated team of OH Technicians, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality and clinical audits to maintain high standards.
* Comprehensive Services: Deliver a full spectrum of occupational health services, including health surveillance, risk assessments, and management referrals.
* Oversight: Oversee health surveillance activities, supervise OH Technicians, review activities, and provide detailed outcome reports.
* Expert Advice: Offer expert guidance on work-related health issues and support employee rehabilitation.
* Policy Development: Collaborate on the development, implementation, and review of OH policies and guidelines.
* Governance: Embed robust clinical governance protocols within UKIM OH.
* Accreditation Support: Assist in achieving SEQOHS accreditation.
* Professional Guidance: Provide occupational health advice to managers and employees on risk identification, assessment, and control.
* Training & Promotion: Contribute to training programmes and health promotion strategies.
* Standards Maintenance: Uphold professional standards and maintain accurate record systems.
Qualifications:
* Essential: NMC registration and a recognised OH qualification.
* Registered Nurse: With a qualification in Occupational Health.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of OH experience post-registration.
* Expertise: Proven experience in health surveillance and complex case management.
* Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
