Curatorial Support Officer - Walsall Leather Museum - Ref: EE04724
Salary: G4: £23,893 - £25,979 per annum

Walsall Leather Museum is a popular visitor attraction telling the story of Walsall’s most famous trade. You will be joining a small and friendly team dedicated to providing outstanding service to a wide range of users.
In this newly created post, you will be supporting the curatorial team in the day-to-day running of the museum. We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our team.
Duties will include:
1. Processing financial records and overseeing banking procedures.
2. Overseeing the operation of the museum’s meeting room and helping to maximise bookings.
3. Managing the museum’s school loan collection.
4. Taking bookings and dealing with enquiries.
5. Maintaining the museum’s database and organising mailouts.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
1. The ability to use spreadsheets.
2. Organisational ability.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Computer literacy.
5. GCSE maths and English or an equivalent.
6. Experience of dealing with people, such as in a reception.
You will also be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with people, such as in a reception, and of working in a retail/sales role, or similar.
This post is covered by the Government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers. The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
