We are a fast-paced business with plenty of opportunities for growth so if this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you JOB PURPOSE To work alongside the Internal Sales and Customer Service Manager with the aim of exceeding customer expectations and growing the Building Products business. To liaise with customers and colleagues daily, enabling the company to achieve maximum revenue, and maximum profit. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties are many and varied, but the list below is considered to be the basic requirement: Daily review of productivity and accuracy of the team. Ensure smooth running of the sales office daily. Feedback to Management on performance of team members, daily numbers, carryovers, disgruntled customers, and any other issues. Responsibility for a cluster of bagging plants internally whilst leading the internal sales coordinators daily. Ensure fast and effective processing of orders daily. Ensuring positive liaison with customers on every occasion, including taking orders via telephone, email, and EDI. Liaising with all plant managers to ensure the smooth running of deliveries across the entire business. Liaising with internal and external sales daily to ensure the business is striving to exceed customer expectations. Establishing a good working relationship with new and existing customers. Dealing with queries in a timely manner. Moving orders between plants in a geographical and economical manner to ensure efficiency, reduced amendments, and customer satisfaction. Support the team in problem solving, using initiative and knowledge, whilst having approval from the Manager to make fast and effective decisions. Approach new business opportunities in a polite and professional manner. Being able to adapt to change as the business continues to grow and diversify. Going beyond to ensure the internal team are always up to speed, this occasionally requires flexible working. Supporting management in finding cover for holidays and/or sickness. Effective reporting to line Manager regarding sickness patterns, lateness & any wellbeing concerns regarding the internal sales team Coaching, guiding, training, and supporting the internal sales team. Reviewing all tasks and projects the internal sales team are working on, providing support where required. Performance Management - Improvement, development, and efficiency reviews with internal sales coordinators as and when instructed by line Manager. Ability to identify and drive process change and improvement. Identifying and reporting to the Manager any health & safety concerns. Build a good understanding of all product groups including blocks, bagging & paving. Any other task required by Management and/or Directors.
