Located in a popular town in Kent, our client is seeking an experienced Senior/Head Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team. This desirable location is favoured by young professionals and families, offering good schooling and a variety of amenities including shops, restaurants, bars, and parks.
This RCVS accredited, well-established small animal practice boasts excellent onsite facilities. These include three dedicated consultation rooms, a well-equipped operating theatre, and a designated space for diagnostic imagery and dentistry. The practice benefits from state-of-the-art technology such as ultrasound, multiparameter monitors, ECG, an in-house lab with a microscope, digital x-ray, dentistry equipment, and a Doppler.
You will join a supportive team consisting of three Veterinary Surgeons, three Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), one Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN), one Animal Nursing Assistant (ANA), and seven supporting team members. The practice also regularly hosts visiting specialists in Orthopaedics, Cardiology, and Imaging. With 75 years of combined nursing experience, the team is well-equipped to support their vets daily and assist in delivering certain Schedule 3 procedures. The nurses and reception team work together with a passion for providing gold-standard patient and client care.
The successful candidate will benefit from a dedicated induction program with an assigned work buddy or mentor. Our client offers a mix of surgery and 15-minute consultations, allowing time to work up complex cases. Additionally, there is an opportunity for a higher volume of surgery time if that aligns with your interests.

The Rota:
• Full time - 40 hours per week over 4 days with a protected day off
