JOB PURPOSE
Department/Business/Location: Workshop/Basingstoke JLR
Reports to: Workshop Controller and Aftersales Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
* Where instructed, use diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.
* Ensure full understanding of the latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and undertake training on how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
* Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices for self and others.
* Adhere to manufacturer and dealer quality standards.
* Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors where necessary to meet deadlines and repair and quality standards.
* Complete relevant service documentation (electronic job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty and site requirements.
* Complete high quality vehicle health checks and videos in a timely manner.
* Ensure that workshop health & safety and housekeeping standards are always maintained including the use of special and personal tools.
* Continue your professional development through the manufacturer training pathways available including Hybrid and BEV technologies.
Skills & Requirements
Essential
* Relevant NVQ / IMI Light vehicle maintenance qualification.
* Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT.
* Energy and enthusiasm.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Smart appearance.
Experience
Desirable
* Main dealer experience.
* Manufacturer training and qualifications.
