We arelooking to appoint a GP who is looking to work within an environment thatsupports new and innovative ways of working. Ideally for 6 to 8sessions per week but would consider less. BMA salaried GP pay scales and model contract offered with flexibility to negotiate favourable terms.
We hope that you will look towards running a personal list with a view to working towards Partnership with us in the future. This would enable you to contribute towards continuing improvement to patient services and access to healthcare for all ourpatients.

About us
You willjoin a clinical team consisting of 2 Partners, 4 salaried GPs, 2 AdvancedNurse Practitioners, 4 Practice Nurses, 2 Nurse Associates, 4 HCAs, 1 Paramedic.
We are part of the local GP federation Integrated Community Care. We were the lead Practice for the Bexhill Covid-19 Vaccination programme supporting 25,000 patients locally.
ThePractice already accommodates visiting Social Prescribing, Carers and MemoryAssessment clinics. We also have Health In Mind and Hidden Hearing clinicswithin the premises. Although non dispensing there is an on-site pharmacy atone of the surgery sites.

Job Summary
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, additional and enhanced services where appropriate.
2. Provide other general medical services to meet identified patient need.
3. Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems whether self-referred, or referred from other healthcare works within the organisation.
4. Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
5. Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
6. Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice; disease management protocols, provide counselling and health education.
7. Work within current CCG policy for prescribing.
8. Be available and accessible to patients at all times as agreed.
9. Maximise the effective use of current clinical computer systems. Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to an agreed standard.
10. Compile and issue computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand written prescriptions whenever possible).
11. Undertake all duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. (These duties will include reports/cremation forms. The fees for this work would be retained within the practice budget).
12. To take part in, and lead on, areas including clinical auditing and data collection.
13. Support under-graduate student training in the surgery.
14. Support GP registrar training in practice.
15. Attend team meetings and other clinical meetings as necessary
16. Provide short term emergency cover for unplanned absence of colleagues
17. Provide emergency on call cover for the practice.
Service Development
18. Be involved in developing primary care services to meet the needs of the practice population.
19. Working in close collaboration with the practice team to ensure that access targets are reached.
20. Support health development and ensure health promotion work is undertaken to allow the practice population to make informed choices.
Managerial
21. Awareness of, and compliance with, all relevant organisation policies and procedures, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety and infection control. Apply these to all aspects of ones own work.

26. In the performance of duties, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the practice as business organisations. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.
27. Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the practice may be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.
