Salary: Grade F (point 17-23) - £30,060 to £33,366 (pro-rata)
The Role
The Governing Board of High Lawn Primary & Nursery School wishes to appoint a Site Manager to join our existing team.
About You
We are looking for an individual who:
1. Will supervise health and safety requirements in school and ensure regulations are adhered to;
2. Will manage the work of contractors on site and monitor services provided externally, such as cleaning and grounds maintenance;
3. Will carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs during the school day and monitor major works during the school holidays;
4. Will carry out responsibilities throughout term time and holidays - holidays will be taken during school holidays;
5. Will be responsible, with the Head Teacher, for the use of the school’s facilities out of school hours, including evenings and weekends;
6. Will have experience and skills to carry out repairs and minor building work;
7. Will have the commitment and attention to detail required in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness in a busy crowded environment;
8. Will have the ability to lead and organise the work of others, as well as good interpersonal and some administrative skills;
9. Will have positive and supportive relationships with staff and children;
10. Will have proven knowledge and experience of building maintenance and/or facilities management;
11. Will have an up-to-date knowledge of how to meet service users' needs through effective facilities management, including site safety and security;
12. Will ensure the delivery of external service contracts to agreed standards;
13. Will ensure that stock control and ordering systems are efficient;
14. Will have proven time and priority management skills;
15. Will be capable of working autonomously.
