Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a new Deputy Head of Security to deliver with professionalism, expertise, and enthusiasm. Responsible for the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, conducting security risk assessments, ensuring compliance of security, compliance of regulations and standards, and developing and delivering security training programs.
Responsible for assisting the Arcadis UK Head of Security on Arcadis UK’s compliance with statutory obligations, client requirements and internal procedures relating to security.
Role accountabilities:
1. Support the UK Head of Security in the delivery of the security function.
2. Act Line Manager to the UK Security Assurance Manager & Personnel Security Manager.
3. Deputy for the UK Head of Security.
4. Ensure that the Security Department Key Performance Indicators are managed, reviewed and maintain the required level of delivery to the business.
5. Conduct the Key Performance Indicator meeting.
6. Support UK Head of Security in managing change.
7. Lead the Incident Management process. Manage and analyse security incident reports and develop strategies to prevent future incidents from occurring.
8. Maintain accurate incident logs and hold incident review meetings with key stakeholders.
9. Ensure that security policies and procedures are accurate and up to date, in compliance with relevant security compliance regulations, accreditations and standards.
10. Conduct security risk assessments of commissions, Arcadis offices or sites identifying potential security risks and implementing appropriate security measures to mitigate these risks.
11. Deliver the Security Risk Management functions in compliance with contracting authorities’ regulations.
12. Maintain the Company Security Risk Register.
13. Support the Security Assurance Manager in the delivery of the Security audit, assurance, inspections and accreditations.
14. Support the Security Assurance Manager in the delivery of the security campaign, education & awareness.
15. Support the Personnel Security Manager in the delivery of security vetting to the business.
16. Lead the Surreptitious Threat and Mitigation (STaMP) process for a secure location.
17. Lead and gain Industry Personnel Security Assurance (IPSA) accreditation and ensure that this accreditation is maintained.
18. Lead the Tactical and Operational security working groups.
19. Lead and deliver tactical and operational security functions.
20. Assist the Head of Security UK in the development and implementation of the Arcadis Security Plan.
21. Ensure that audits and inspections of project sites are completed to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
22. Maintain accurate records and documentation of security incidents, audits, inspections, and other security-related activities.
23. Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on security compliance issues, risks, and mitigation strategies.
24. Manage the preparation of security-related reports and presentations for clients and other stakeholders.
25. Knowledge of security compliance software tools, such as risk assessment software, incident reporting software, and document management systems.
26. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, to prepare reports, presentations, and policies.
27. Familiarity with relevant security compliance certifications, such as ISO 27001, ISO 9001, BS 7858, GovSec 007:Security, Baseline Personnel Security Standards v7 2024, UKSV vetting.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Ideally, Degree qualified in a security discipline.
2. Proven experience and expertise in risk management and risk-based decision making.
3. Proven ability in and a commitment to service development and improvement.
4. Proven and credible experience in problem solving and strategic thinking.
5. High level written, verbal and presentation skills.
6. Ability to work independently and a ‘self-starter’ approach to work and personal development.
7. Eligibility for and willingness to undergo and maintain SC clearance.
8. DISA Security Controller qualified.
9. Knowledge of the HMG Security Assurance policy.
10. Previous experience in a governance or assurance role.
11. Knowledge of Government Functional Security Standards 007:Security.
