Job Title: Assistant Accountant Salary: £30-33k Location: Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days from home) Benefits: Highly desirable study support package Job Summary/Purpose: Support the Finance Manager with daily finance functions and provide accurate information throughout the monthly finance reporting cycle. Primary Responsibilities: Sales Ledger: Weekly sales reporting Maintenance of the sales ledger Reviewing balance reports and completion statements Assisting with the sales budget process Ad hoc sales reporting Payroll: Processing weekly payroll Supporting weekly paid employees and resolving queries Assisting with payroll input and reporting Purchase Ledger: Processing supplier invoices Resolving invoice discrepancies Reconciling supplier statements Preparing weekly purchase ledger reports Monthly Reporting: Assisting with monthly reporting Preparing balance sheet reconciliations General ledger journal preparation Preparing monthly reports Other Duties: Assisting with cash book reporting and bank reconciliations Maintaining subcontract ledger and payment runs Supporting the annual budget reporting cycle Providing holiday cover and completing other finance requests as needed Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements: AAT Qualified or equivalent Strong bookkeeping skills Experience in a busy finance department Experience with financial reports and reconciliation Ability to manage multiple ledgers Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure For more information about this role apply or call Rhys Logan at the REED Milton Keynes.
