The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative curriculum, fostering critical thinking, research skills, and social awareness in students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver engaging and informative social sciences lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, exploration, and inquiry. Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth. Collaborate with colleagues within the Humanities department to develop and enhance the social sciences curriculum and extracurricular activities. Stay abreast of current research and trends in the social sciences, incorporating relevant and contemporary examples into your teaching. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. Proven experience teaching social sciences at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4. Ideal Candidate: Passionate about the social sciences, with a strong commitment to inspiring and educating young people. Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
