We are looking for a part-time (23 hours per week, 12-month fixed contract) enthusiastic team player to join our nursing team. Evesham Community Hospital is a 50-bedded stroke and general rehabilitation unit. The nursing staff work alongside the therapy team and adopt a multidisciplinary team approach to providing rehab to the patients.
We require an innovative, enthusiastic, motivated individual interested in all areas of rehab. You will be required to plan, implement, evaluate, and take responsibility for the nursing care of the ward patients on a daily basis. You will be expected to facilitate and support the patient and their families throughout their pathway from admission to discharge.

Main duties of the job
As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care to people admitted to our wards for rehabilitation. We work closely as a multi-disciplinary team.
Our focus is promoting the comfort and wellbeing of patients, enabling them to live as independently as possible. As a team, we encourage ongoing learning and development through reflection and clinical supervision which we try to embed in our daily practice. Our nurses are required to facilitate the day-to-day running of the ward, administering medications, working alongside all members of the MDT, as well as patients, their families, and carers to provide 24/7 rehabilitation to enable the highest level of independence and quality of life. Our nurses are required to attend meetings as needed, such as MDT and CHC or Discharge Planning.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience gained during pre-registration training in an inpatient setting.
* Experience gained working in the frailty care setting.
Additional criteria
* Able to carry out physical requirements of the role, e.g., using mechanical hoists to move patients.
Qualifications
* RGN NMC Registered Adult Nursing
* Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor Training.
* Accredited courses in Palliative Care, Tissue Viability, Diabetes, Dementia.
Knowledge
* Confidence to teach student nurses, patients, carers, and members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Understanding of evidence-based nursing, multidisciplinary working, clinical governance.
* Awareness of Audit.
* Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development.
Skills and abilities
* Ability to communicate effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.
* Able to work competently without supervision.
