Summary of Role:
We currently have an opportunity for a Head of Academy Coaching based at our fantastic Academy based at our training grounds in Wetherby. This is a great opportunity for driven individuals who relish a challenge and are driven to succeed in a fast and innovative environment.
The Head Of Academy Coaching is responsible for the quality of coaching provision across the Academy. Working with other Academy leaders, they will contribute to the development of our coaching methodology and implement a needs-led coach development programme to drive standards across the workforce.
As a member of the Academy Management Team, the Head Of Academy Coaching will also add value to the development and delivery of overall Academy strategy, to ensure Club defined objectives are met.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will be an experienced operator in a youth development setting, with a successful track-record of designing and implementing coaching methodology across an Academy pathway.
They will be driven to develop and support coaches and be skilled in translating coaching methodology into high level coaching practice using a blend of formal and informal approaches to learning.
Critically, their previous work will have contributed to the successful production of players for the highest level of the game.
They will be an adept leader and line manager and a natural collaborator.
Essential Qualifications:
1. UEFA A Licence
2. FA Advanced Youth Award
3. EFAIF First Aid certificate
4. Enhanced DBS Check
5. UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Postgraduate level education in Physiotherapy
2. Experience in a full-time technical leadership role in elite youth football
3. Experience of delivering coach development programmes in elite youth football
4. Experience in a full-time technical leadership role in a Category 1 Academy or international equivalent
5. Experience in a coaching role in elite youth football
