Role: Health & Safety Coordinator

Duties
Support & Review site Manual Handling Risk Assessments and identify high tariff physical effort tasks.
Maintain & Improve the H&S Management system through regular review and update in line with current legislation, guidance and best practise.
Review and improve Work Instructions, development of new documentation and conduct Task-based Risk Assessments where appropriate.
Collaborate efficiently with a multitude of stakeholders to ensure alignment (Operations, Governance & Global)
Attend sites H&S incidents as and when required, Support with H&S accident and incident investigations to ensure standard process is followed and the completion of investigation is within measured time scales.
Responsible for collaborating closely with the HSE and support site in taking care of site based regulatory issues
Attend sites on a regular basis to show visible and active leadership.
Monitor H&S Compliance alongside other key performance indicators and targets.
Provide Operational Teams with trend analysis and prioritisation of action management
Ad-hoc support and advise on H&S concerns and challenges as and when required. Actively support a culture of major hazard awareness ensuring client can protect its employees, contractors, the public and the environment and its assets from catastrophic consequences
Skills
Essential:
2-3 years experience in a H&S role or similar
Manual Handling Trainer/Assessor
Proven track record in handling H&S incidents and accident investigations
Experience of working in a team and meeting the demands of a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in the use of standard business systems (MS Office).
Must possess full UK driver's license.
Interpersonal/communication skills.
Prioritisation of time and workload.
Ability to build/maintain strong relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders.
Education
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level Practitioner Qualification in Occupational Safety & Health
Desirable:
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or working towards)
Tech IOSH membership (or above)
Experience and ability to demonstrate working in an operational and/or manufacturing environment.
