Due to our continued success and our ambitious growth plans we are looking for a Mechanical Sustainment Engineer to join our team based at our Bishops Cleeve site. What will you be doing? As a Mechanical Sustainment Engineer you will be providing technical support to the Ontic UK Operations teams, external suppliers and customers. You will provide support for products throughout the lifecycle from NPI to retirement and provide technical support to all internal and external customers and stakeholders. You will review technical specifications and ensure product conformance to design and manage major and minor changes using the Engineering Change Notice workflow. You will perform root cause investigations and deliver corrective actions, producing technical documents and reports to a high standard. What will you need to know? You’ll need to have a degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline or significant industry experience with good educational standards and be able to demonstrate experience in a technical support/Mechanical Engineering role in a manufacturing environment, ideally within Aerospace. Any experience of design evaluation or NPI is an advantage. Well developed communication skills with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and competent with MS Office and ERP systems.
