To receive ad-hoc portering requests from wards and departments, to prioritise work and distribute to porter within the team. To allocate routine duties as appropriate including:- a) Waste movement b) Cleaning equipment c) Collection of linen 2. To record duties on worksheets or plan appropriate times with wards/departments and record in diary. 3. Respond to key requests, issue of keys and recording of issue. 4. To ensure all reasonable tasks are responded to at the time, and if any questions have arisen into the task, it is investigated. 5. To conduct quality checks and general checking of work and standards. 6. Ensuring that all emergency pagers are manned at all time and that those and otheralarm responses are made appropriately. 7. To ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manner ie within deadline given by Facilities Support Services Manager or Head Porter. 8. The accurate allocation and recording of leave of portering staff. 9. To ensure that correct level of staff are available using bank staff, overtime and agreed adjustment of individuals' shifts.
