Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £41,800 to £48,000 and London £46,000 to £52,000 per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

Are you interested in working in the innovative and fast-moving world of Digital Assets/crypto? Do you want to join a team that is responsible for driving forward the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA’s) strategy in respect of crypto and help support the development of the new regulatory regime for crypto? This is a hugely exciting time to join the team as there is the potential to influence the crypto landscape in the UK.
You will be joining the Digital Assets Sector team, a team of motivated individuals who are responsible for market analysis and strategy across the payments and digital assets sectors. Our work helps shape the FCA's payments and crypto strategy and our policy and supervisory approach.
What will you be doing?
* Contributing to, and delivering, areas of focus around crypto, including the FCA’s proactive evaluation of the crypto market, and using this to further develop FCA crypto strategies, risk analysis, horizon scanning and training
* Developing excellent working relationships across the organisation, collaborating flexibly with them to identify, investigate and solve issues
* Working with government departments like HMT, industry participants and other regulators
* Providing training and advice and briefings about crypto issues to FCA colleagues
* Role modelling the FCA’s Values and Core Capabilities

* Develop more in-depth knowledge of the crypto asset sector

Minimum
* Prior experience of crypto assets, payments or compliance
* Prior experience of building and managing relationships with stakeholders
* Prior experience working in financial services, legal or for a regulator or public body
Essential
* Understanding of the impact of regulation on consumers, including unintended outcomes
* Ability to evaluate detailed information and reach difficult conclusions
* Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work at pace and under pressure, use sound judgement and escalate issues appropriately
* Ability to balance and manage clashing priorities, working solo and in a team, and manage several work streams simultaneously
* Comfortable with responsibility and managing ambiguity
