Our client is a highly successful privately-owned dealer group operating premium automotive brands in West Yorkshire. Requirements Based at a fantastic privately owned Dealership in Castleford, we are looking to recruit a driven and determined General Sales Manager to lead a self-starting and hugely motivated team. The successful candidate will have up to date knowledge and relevant experience gained within the motor industry, as well as the ability to build good customer relationships and negotiate profitable transactions. Key Responsibilities will include: · Driving Sales and maximising profitability, including through the sale of finance and insurance products · Training and motivating the team with daily and measured 1-2-1 review meetings · Maintaining a motivated, productive and rewarded team · Regular review of online presence and amending adverts and pricing in line with market movements as required · Maintaining customer service standards and processes that are in line with business requirements · Managing enquiries and identifying opportunities to grow market share, long term loyalty and profitability · Creating high quality marketing and promotion strategies · Engaging with local people and businesses to explore profit opportunities · Monitor and evaluate customer needs and competitor activity · Regularly communicate and interact with members of other departments to develop the business and the business team ethos · Achievement of monthly budgets and associated KPIs · Value part exchanges and stack deals for the sales team · Source new stock as required · Propose and sign-up customer finance applications · Consistently achieve 100% Customer Satisfaction scores · Monthly performance reviews with sales team to assist their development The successful candidate should possess the following: · Minimum of 5 years’ experience in car sales · Must be driven, enthusiastic and keen to exceed both company and customer expectations · 100% focussed on delivering an excellent purchasing experience for customers · Excellent organisation and diary management skills · PC literacy is a must · High standard of admin and paperwork skills · Proficient in selling add-on products such as GAP, paint protection and other warranty/insurance related products · Proficient in following an FCA compliant process · Be able to work additional hours beyond closing times and possibly days off in order to meet customer requirements · Open to new ways of doing things and able to quickly adapt to our processes Benefits Applicants must display high standards of professionalism and motivation, encourage beneficial change, and support the Company’s strategic goals for driving excellence in everything we do.
