Your Impact The Production Manager/VSL will lead and co-ordinate the training and activities of team members to achieve production volume, product quality, delivery, and cost goals. They will be key in the continual improvement of plant policies and production techniques, seeking to increase quality and efficiency. Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies: Establish performance standards and objectives for the Value Stream Team that align with achieving site and future state goals. Develop and implement an annual operating plan including Kaizen opportunities, capital plan, productivity projects and production department budget. Responsible for scaling the Fortive Business Systems (Fortive's Continuous Improvement Methodology) and driving positive engagement through ongoing development of cell leaders, buyer/planners, quality engineers and operators. Lead Daily, weekly, and monthly Gemba reviews to drive alignment and focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Responsible for product quality, on-time shipment, and production material within the assigned cells. Collaborate with customers to ensure timely execution of orders. Responsible for establishing tact time goals per production forecasts and schedules and creating and maintaining product Value Stream future and current state maps. Responsible for hiring, training, performance evaluations, and other actions related to employee performance. Skills & Experience The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: BS in Engineering, Business, or Production Management preferred Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working as a first line supervisor/manager. Excellent leadership and motivation skills and can demonstrate leading successful teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience leading teams with 30 -100 employees as well as dealing with a variety of potential personnel and production issues. Excels in time and project management, troubleshooting/problem solving, planning & follow-through and quality improvement processes. Knowledge of Oracle business system would be advantageous Ability to effectively collaborate with people at various technical and management levels.
