We are looking for two minibus drivers on a job share basis who are professional and will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to our Operation Centre on Claverton Down Road, Bath. The successful candidates will operate the minibuses in accordance with traffic regulations and company policies.
You will be required to maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus and conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the safety of the vehicle and passengers (the minibus will be maintained by the appropriate garage). You must also be able to communicate effectively with passengers, have a clean driving license, have a good driving record, and be able to work flexible hours.
The successful candidates for these positions should be reliable, punctual, and have excellent customer service skills. This role is eight hours per week.
What you'll do
You will transport employees from Oldfield Boys Rugby Club on Shaft Road to our Operations Centre on Claverton Down Road, with a stop off at Sulis Club car park.
Role one's working hours will be from 7.15am to 9.30am, and role two's working hours will be from 3.30pm to 5.45pm. This will initially be a one year contract.
There is an expectation that the role holders will be flexible and able to work additional hours (paid) to provide cover for holidays and the absences of the other driver.
Initially, you will work Monday to Thursday, but the hours may be extended to Fridays for 50 weeks of the year (two weeks in December will not be required).
Your duties will include:
* Driving company vehicles as required.
* Inspecting the bus before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Maintaining a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times.
* Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
* Reporting any accidents, incidents or mechanical problems to the Office Services Manager.
* Assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, as required.
