We’re now seeking to appoint a talented Outreach Officer, to support the delivery of our outreach programme as set out in our Access and Participation Plan and in line with our 2030 strategy. Part of the Recruitment and Outreach Team, this is an important role; responsible for developing strong relationships with target schools and colleges across Cornwall and the South West, delivering core outreach activities and raising the profile of Falmouth University with stakeholders across the region. You will work within the recruitment and outreach team as well as with academics and colleagues across the institution to support outreach activities and engagement with key audiences, including target schools and colleges, teachers, parents, and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. About You You will be a professional, creative and self-motivated individual with experience working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in educational settings and delivering engaging outreach activity. You will be highly organised, with experience of prioritising and working to tight deadlines as well as a data driven approach to monitoring and evaluation. The successful candidate will be based in Cornwall and should enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as you support the delivery of all aspects of outreach activity in your region, as well as travelling more widely when required. Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are essential, alongside a sensitivity to the needs of different audiences. You should relish the opportunity to work proactively under your own initiative but be able to demonstrate a dynamic contribution to developing team strategies.
