The Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our team in the musculoskeletal outpatient Physiotherapy clinic at Middlemore Hospital. The team forms part of the Adult Rehabilitation, Acute Allied Health Service for Counties Manukau District.
Comprehensive Physiotherapy services are provided to a culturally and clinically diverse group of adults with musculoskeletal conditions including referrals from a range of hospital-based specialties and primary care. This position may also involve the supervision of rotational staff and undergraduate physiotherapy students.
You will work alongside and be professionally supported by a team of experienced Physiotherapists, a Section Head Physiotherapist, and the Physiotherapy Professional Leader. We also have close links with the wider Allied Health team for collaboration and professional development opportunities.
The department actively encourages continuous professional development with continuous and collaborative learning through a range of opportunities.
Essential:
* New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with current APC
* At least 5 years experience as a Physiotherapist in orthopaedic/musculoskeletal physiotherapy
* Experience in secondary care setting
* Experience leading quality improvement
* Experience in supervision of rotational staff and students
* Full, clean driver’s licence
Desirable:
* Postgraduate clinical qualification
* Experience in research and clinical audit
