Our Claims function is a large team spread across the UK and plays a key role in delivering our promises to our customers. As a Claims apprentice, youâll provide our customers with a clear, collaborative, effortless, and personal experience. You'll deal with a wide range of situations and our customers will count on you for a quick, professional and empathetic response to an often-stressful time. \n\nAn insurance claims handler helps people who have had something go wrong, like an accident or damage. They check our customerâs insurance claims and making sure they get the support they need from their insurance product. \n\nYour role could involve: \n- Receiving and recording new claims. \n- Reviewing claim details and gathering additional information. \n- Providing empathetic and efficient support to our customers when they need us most. \n- Providing updates, answering inquiries, and addressing customer concerns. \n- Reviewing complex technical files. \n- Investigating potential fraudulent claims. \n- Working with large volumes of data. \n- Collaborating with other departments. \n- Assisting in negotiations and settlements, preparing and issuing payments or denials. \n\nThis is a permanent role, your apprenticeship is just the start of your career with us. Working in insurance is so varied, youâll find that there are so many different opportunities for you to explore. An apprenticeship is the perfect way to fast-track your career During your claims apprenticeship, youâll: \n- Understand the general principles in the claims handling process \n- Learn about various insurance products and associated services. \n- Develop your ability to build and manage relationships. \n- Learn about the various rules and regulations that claims handlers need to consider when dealing with claims. \n- Be able to carry out initial assessments, evaluate policies and products and how to settle claims. \n- Understand the difference between insured and uninsured losses. Alongside your day-to-day work activities, youâll complete a Providing Financial Services SCQF Level 6 Apprenticeship as well as an insurance industry recognised Certificate in Insurance via the Chartered Insurance Institute. The apprenticeship will take around 18 months. We will give you time to study as well as the opportunity to put what you learn into practice. \n\nWhat youâll need: \n- Full right to work and reside in the UK - Due to government regulations, we cannot accept applications from those who require a visa to live and work in the UK. You must have the indefinite right to live and work in the UK and have resided here for a minimum of three consecutive years. \n- A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 including Maths and English. \n- A professional attitude with a positive âcan doâ approach to your work \n- Strong interpersonal and communication skills \n- Ability to build strong working relationships \n\n
