This is an exciting opportunity for a litigation solicitor/lawyer to join a reputable, modern & supportive firm in either their Barnstaple or Kingsbridge offices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' PQE and be looking to continue their career in litigation law. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a supportive firm that has a friendly, easygoing environment with a "door is always open" approach. They are ideally looking for someone who can cover a broad range of litigation law, including commercial litigation, property litigation and contentious probate. However, they are happy to open this role up for someone to specialise in one of these areas.
The successful candidate will be able to work full or part-time hours and benefit from a flexible working environment, with the option to work in the office, remotely, or a mix of both. The firm has been awarded Lexcel accreditation for many years running, the Law Society's legal practice quality mark for excellence in legal practice management and excellence in client care. Tasks will include:
1. Commercial Litigation - including disputes between partners and shareholders, claims in the fast track, intermediate track, and multi track, professional negligence disputes, contract disputes and debt claims
2. Property Litigation - including boundary disputes and other disputes between neighbours, claims involving defective building work, adverse possession claims, and disputes between landlords and tenants
3. Contentious Probate - including claims involving capacity, undue influence and duress, Inheritance Act claims and intestacy
About you:
1. Someone who works on a range of litigation law, or is looking to specialise in one of the above
2. A team player
3. A solicitor/lawyer with 3 years' PQE
4. Someone who delivers exceptional client service
5. Great communication skills
