The team play a vital role in protecting our communities from infectious diseases and other public health hazards. We are looking for passionate Senior Health Protection Nurses to join our team and become part of a progressive Lincolnshire Public Health division.
The Senior Health Protection Nurses will have a key role within the Lincolnshire Public Health Team and will support the delivery of Health Protection across Lincolnshire. The Nurses will work collaboratively with Health Protection Managers and wider Public Health staff to effectively manage incidents and outbreaks of infectious and non-infectious environmental hazards.
The post holders will work both collaboratively and autonomously, with authority, using transferable knowledge and skills, to help develop and deliver the Health Protection service across Lincolnshire. This involves acting as a catalyst for change in practice and service development. The ideal candidate will be resilient and able to appropriately challenge boundaries to identify innovative solutions that best meet the needs of the service, stakeholders and staff.
The post holders will actively engage in the broader work of the Health Protection Service and will lead defined areas of work such as Infection Prevention & Control, Screening & Immunisation and Sexual Health.

* Adult nursing
* Children’s nursing
* Mental Health nursing
* And/or a background in nursing education
You must have an active NMC registration, and you will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
We are looking for someone with experience in Health Protection or a related field, with knowledge in Infection Prevention & Control and Public Health. You will have a proven ability to handle challenging and multi-faceted issues taking a problem-solving approach to ensure proactive and effective resolution.
You should be comfortable in building trusted stakeholder relationships networks in a politically sensitive and/or changing environment with the ability to use effective influencing and negotiation skills in and beyond your own team.
There will be an expectation for you to travel and the post holder must have access to a car. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Professional registration fees can also be recovered.
