Overview
Our Academy of Engineering covers Agricultural, Motor Vehicle and Large Transport Vehicle Engineering with multiple training facilities across our campus to ensure our learners are industry focused and career ready. The College has significantly invested in the Engineering facility, with a £7 million Advanced Engineering and Agri-Tech Centre boasting some fantastic, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for teaching purposes. A new facility, over at our Reaseheath Engineering Apprenticeship Academy, was purpose built to accommodate the growth in demand within Large Transport Vehicle engineering. We also have an impressive five bay and hi spec equipment facility for our Motor Vehicle cohort.
About the role
Due to significant growth in the Engineering department, which has seen the recent development of our satellite centre, Reaseheath Engineering Apprenticeship Academy, we are looking for applications from highly skilled and motivated individuals to deliver high quality and progressive training and assessment to apprentices.
Key responsibilities:
* Plan, develop and deliver Engineering Apprenticeship Training Academy curriculum content.
* Lead and guide students in a range of practical, theory and assessment activity.
* Conduct Vocational assessment both on and off site to our national programmes.
* Flexible approach where transferable skills and knowledge are utilised across all areas of the Engineering department.
* Provide educational guidance to both employers and apprentices.
The successful candidate will have:
* A period of relevant and successful time, within the vocational area focusing on equipment service, maintenance and repair.
* Excellent knowledge of Construction Plant.
* Minimum Level 3 qualification within the vocational area (or be willing to work towards one).
* Level 5 and 6 qualification within Engineering (desirable).
* A relevant teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
