Job description - Occupational Health Advisor
Requirements:
1. Hold a valid NMC PIN Number.
2. Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health.
3. Experience in providing occupational health in a similar sector.
4. Minimum of 6 months UK based work experience.
We have a superb opportunity for an Occupational Health Advisor to work for an industry-leading Healthcare company called PAM Group. PAM Group provides Occupational Health services to a number of well-known companies, brands, and local authorities across the UK. The role involves providing a high-quality occupational health nursing service to clients' employees and managers, conducting case management, screening, and clinical requirements for the business.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Survey reporting and reviewing clinical documentation completed by on-site Technicians.
2. Predominantly home-based role with travel to Redditch & Coventry to cover face-to-face client sites.
3. Good experience of full OH remit including health surveillance, health promotion, and wellbeing engagement.
4. Conduct mixed clinics - medicals and referrals, new starter employment screens, SC medicals, and telephone assessments.
5. Support Clinical Lead in the delivery of all OH services and wellbeing initiatives collaboratively with clients.
6. Work as part of a dedicated resource alongside OHTs, physios, and the admin team for one client.
7. Contribute towards safe working practices across the OH Delivery team.
8. Conduct Health Assessments and report outcomes within PAM OH standards, policies, procedures, and NMC guidelines.
9. Manage Health Records ensuring safe storage, security, and confidentiality of all OH records while complying with relevant legislation and good practice.
10. Administer immunisations and vaccinations, and perform venepuncture.
11. Produce management reports as required.
12. Actively promote fitness for work, both preventative and rehabilitative, raising the profile of OH among all levels of employees and management.
13. Contribute to business success and work closely with clients to deliver Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health.
Additional Requirements:
1. Demonstrate above-average skills and competence in case management and providing advice on work health and health on work.
2. Ability to carry out health screening including audiometry, spirometry, general medicals, and drug & alcohol screening.
3. Knowledge of UK legislation and guidance on fitness for work and safety at work.
4. Demonstrate a working understanding of relevant employment law in an occupational health context.
5. Registered Nurse, qualified/experienced in Health Surveillance.
6. Good understanding of Microsoft packages and comfortable using OH software.
