OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB DEPUTY MANAGER and TA2 KS1
30 hrs/week (6 hours per day) Monday to Friday TTO
TERM TIME ONLY 12.15pm to 6.15pm (12:15-3pm TA role and 3pm-6:15pm OOSC deputy Manager)
Start date: January 2025 or earlier if available, subject to DBS and references (also overseas checks if applicable)
SALARY SCALE: Band 3, PT6 to PT11, FTE £23,893 to £25,979 (pro-rata)
CONTRACT TERM: Permanent (subject to a probationary period)

Awarded Oustanding in all areas by Ofsted in March 2023, Wellfield Infant and Nursery School is a highly inclusive and successful two form entry infant school with a 52 part time place Nursery and a Small Specialist Class for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social and Communication Difficulties.
The Headteacher and School Governors from Wellfield Infant and Nursery School are seeking a highly committed and professional individual to take on this dual role of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for our mainstream classes and deputy manager for our Wishing Well out of school club.
The Wishing Well service provides for pupils aged 3 to 11 years from both Wellfield Infant School and Wellfield Junior School. The two schools share a large and attractive site with plenty of outdoor space. Our team consists of a diverse range of dedicated professionals. We are particularly looking for an enthusiastic and creative Deputy Manager to support the Club Manager in continuing to develop the team and the opportunities the club provides for the children.
The successful applicant will:-
Hold a relevant qualification to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent suitable qualifications that would support the role
Have experience of managing staff/ leading a team
Have a sound understanding of the current legislation relating to the Safeguarding of children and the responsibilities that go with this
Have a successful history, (minimum 2 years’ experience), of working with children and young people in the primary age range and planning activities for them, both indoors and outdoors
Be competent in the use of ICT including experience of working with Word and Excel
Be hard working, professional and reliable and keep good time keeping
Be an effective communicator and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders including school leaders and parents and carers
Be committed to the ongoing development of the growing club and it’s team
Ideally have at least three years of experience of working in Key Stage One in a school setting and have a sound working knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage One and experience of supporting the delivery of a phonics teaching programme
Have experience of supporting the planning and execution of curriculum based activities and assessment tasks and the organising and delivery of intervention groups
Have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including supporting the implementation of Individual Education Plans and Individual Behaviour Plans, and demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of inclusive practice
