Do you have an interest in working across multiple clinical specialities? Are you a quick learner who enjoys a fast-paced environment?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HCPC registered Dietitian to become a permanent peripatetic member of our friendly and supportive dietetic team at UHDB. You will be central in the delivery of a comprehensive and effective evidence-based dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients referred to the dietetic department. This post will have both adult and paediatric responsibilities. This post is designed to be fast-paced, covering clinical areas at short notice and be the lead for covering winter pressure wards. The post holder will need to be innovative, pragmatic and an excellent team player as could move between teams and locations at short notice. Communication is key.
You will be an integral part of our flexible and inclusive team supported by our experienced specialist dietitians and dietetic assistants.
The post holder may be required to support with MUST training, catering issues and will also provide education to a range of healthcare staff within the Trust. You will be expected to hold responsibility for your own caseload, demonstrating good skills in prioritisation and delegation. The dietetic team work closely with several multi-disciplinary teams and has excellent management support.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder is responsible for providing dietetic assessment, management and treatment for a variety of nutritional issues in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
You will provide regular supervision to junior members of the team.
The department is committed to student training and is approved for A, B and C placements therefore you will be involved in the training of student Dietitians.
Based at Royal Derby Hospital / Queens Hospital Burton / Florence Nightingale.

* Registered Dietitian with HCPC registration
* Substantial recent NHS experience
* Experience in wide range of acute inpatient settings
