Person specification Reporting to the Co-Heads of UKEFs Global Business Origination and Client Coverage division, this is a new role being created within the OCC division to help implement an agreed vision for client coverage. The mandate is to develop and implement the departments strategic vision to enhance customer experiences and to put our customers at the forefront of our activities. Main Activities This senior role entails a relationship focused approach based on engagement with customers at a strategic level, understanding their objectives and influencing decision-making in order to deliver the UKEF offer in an effective manner. While origination team focus on building the pipeline and delivering bankable transactions with a geographic focus, this role would facilitate trusted relationships with customers through an account coverage model. It will be embedded within the divisional structure to maximise synergies with origination, working alongside a team of 12 high-performing individuals in London and 23 Country Heads overseas. You will be responsible for managing key customer relationships in strategic sectors (such as renewable energy) and partners (such as multilateral institutions) in order to sustain long term relationships with exporters, contractors, project sponsors and financial institutions. In helping OCCs senior leadership deliver the client coverage mandate for the department, you will be making important contributions to the successful delivery of UKEFs Business Plan. This is a critical role in a dynamic and visible division within UKEF and one with significant scope to share future direction. This role will have responsibility for (inter alia): Implementing an agreed vision for this new function within OCC, working closely with OCCs senior leadership. Developing and implementing an approach to account management for UKEFs key strategic relationships underpinned by effective utilisation of digital systems, tools and data. Building global customer insights, fostering a culture of commercial awareness, horizon-scanning to bolster in-depth knowledge of key customers future business plans and alignment with UKEFs strategy and Business Plan, and working collaboratively across UKEF and other departments (DBT, FCD). Building and managing strong relationships with senior representatives in business and industry and acting as a credible and trusted advisor to increasingly sophisticated stakeholders on complex, cross-cutting issues pertinent to export finance and market dynamics. Coordinating senior engagements with support from Executive Committee account sponsors. Leading and influencing customer supply chain approaches through senior engagement in alignment with UKEF proposition in terms of products and impact. Actively engaging at the senior level with internal stakeholders (strategy, policy, underwriting and origination, and risk) in order for UKEF to provide our external clients and customers an efficient service which leads to new business opportunities.
