Band 5 Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
Reporting to Senior sister/Charge nurse.
Based at Queen Elizabeth Mother Hospital in Margate Kent.
Main duties of the job
To provide effective patient care whilst working as a member of the nursing team across East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. To ensure the maintenance of high standards of patient care in response to service needs. The post will require the holder to work on other sites within East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, in order to meet service requirements and to ensure that staff maintain and develop their skills.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NMC Level 1 or Level 15 Registered Nurse
* Mentor Qualification or ENB 998
* Completion of Preceptorship
Skills and experience
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to develop working relationships with others
* Time management and personal organisation skills
* Well-structured patient assessment
* NMC Code of Conduct or HCPC Standards of Conduct
* Awareness of national access standards affecting ED Patients
* Previous experience at Band 5 within specialty.
* Understanding of national access targets regarding ED patients
* Evidence of facilitating learning in practice.
* Local Nursing Standards
* Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development

* Ability to work flexibly according to service demands
* Creative and solution-oriented
* Confident, assertive and approachable
* Able to work in a busy operational environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team
