We are looking for a HR Advisor to join our Catalent Swindon HR Team. This is a 6-month contract to help the organisation deliver its corporate strategy and objectives by providing advisory support in the delivery of comprehensive, efficient and professional HR service to the Swindon site.
The main duties of the role include:
1. Provide pro-active day-to-day generalist HR advice and assistance to Managers and employees regarding contractual terms and HR policies, including disciplinary, grievance and absence cases.
2. Review and update existing HR policies in line with new employment legislation and best practice; creating new HR policies to meet business needs.
3. Conduct exit interviews and analyse the exit interview data, feeding back on any key trends and themes that result.
4. Support the implementation and delivery of key HR Projects at the Swindon & Dartford sites.
5. Support the HR Director in the delivery of organisational development activities such as cultural transition and change across both sites.
6. Support HR functional excellence activities, to ensure the consistent application of people processes for example enhancing manager’s toolkits.
7. Take the lead in managing and collating all local & global HR Metrics such as monthly and quarterly metrics including turnover, headcount and absence. Analyse the data to identify trends and recommend possible solutions.
8. Take the lead in managing apprenticeships and work experience placements on site, liaising with EH&S and line managers to ensure the placement is of value to both student and the business.
9. Assist in the development and delivery of HR training to line managers, where appropriate, to up-skill manager capability in dealing with people related matters.
10. Support the Site Induction and onboarding processes, ensuring new employees feel fully integrated into the Swindon & Dartford businesses and are able to contribute quickly to the objectives of the business.
11. Support on Performance Management cases, liaising with relevant parties such as Occupational Health and legal advisers to realise a positive outcome.
The Candidate
1. Good A Levels or equivalent (C or above)
2. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
3. Experience of working in a fast-paced HR environment, preferably in a similar role.
4. Experience of managing employee relations cases with a good understanding of employment legislation
5. Ability to multi-task and demonstrate diplomatic skills
6. Good oral and written communication skills
7. Attention to detail is essential and strong organizational/prioritisation skills
8. Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
9. Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
10. Experience of working with HR information systems (e.g. Peoplesoft, Workday)
11. Ability to create, build and maintain relationships with key senior stakeholders internally and externally
12. Proactive in getting things done and delivering on time in pressured situations
13. This is an onsite Monday to Friday role.
