Job title: Membership Engagement Executive
Reports to: Director
Location: City of London
Salary range: £32,000 - £38,000
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 (Hybrid working)
Start Date: Immediate
Job Purpose
To develop, manage, and support individual and company members and membership committees. Ensure all membership inquiries are promptly and satisfactorily answered. Maintain the membership database.
You will play a key part in implementing membership growth and retention, including the development of relevant and compelling membership offers for each category of membership. You will also assist in providing improved communication and support to members, enhancing membership value, and increasing service offerings.
Responsibilities
Company Membership:
Promote and develop company membership and maintain existing members.
Provide support to company members in relation to industry issues.
Improve company membership engagement.
Establish and maintain Special Interest Groups (SIG).
Improve membership retention through improved communication and support.
Identify opportunities to enhance membership value and increase service offerings.
Research and prepare briefs on industry issues to provide to members.
Assist with the administration of the Trinity House Light Dues Contract.
Responsible for correct and accurate company membership renewal processes and annual invoicing.
Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of the membership base and the issues affecting them.Support Company Membership Council:
Attend meetings and draft the meeting agenda and minutes, collate reports/papers and distribute them to council members.
Deliver actions and projects relating to matters raised.
Attend external meetings.Key Skills and Competencies:
Excellent English, written and spoken.
Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships at all levels.
Relevant experience of working in a membership role.
Great customer service mindset.
Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Highly organised.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to collate and analyse membership data and use this in the development of support services.
Experience in segmentation and targeting within a customer base.
Experience working as part of a small team.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Shipping industry experience preferred.
