A Primary School in Bristol is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant with experience working with children with visual impairments. This role offers a great opportunity to join a dedicated team working closely with the SENCo to support individual children's access to learning.
The Role
This position involves supporting a primary-aged child with listening impairment needs. You will work on a 1:1 basis to adapt the learning environment, enabling the child to access learning and reach their full potential.
The Head Teacher seeks an individual who can provide a positive, empathetic, and patient approach, capable of taking initiative to adapt lessons as needed.
You will be expected to:
1. Have previous experience working with SEND children.
2. Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt learning environments.
3. Be flexible and encouraging in your approach.
4. Communicate effectively and observe the child's personal and learning development.
5. Work closely with the SENCo.
